my nephew. he hates having his picture taken (hmm, kind of like me). i always have to take him by surprise.






pictures taken around the Marquette campus at night, spring 2008. messing around with light...my favorite.

this "born-again christian" preacher likes to sit in front of polk library when the weather is nice and tell the campus exactly why they're going to hell. i'm glad i resisted the urge to throw my camera at his head (i think it would have dented my poor camera)...the looks on the faces of the two holding the flag are what make the picture for me.


shutter speed project in color...i will continue to defend the balloon picture. it doesn't matter to me if no one else got it, for me it was and remains relevant. and i think the feeling of going too fast and being out of control comes across better in color with the driving picture.
